Detailed question

2005 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 27,800 miles.
The keyless entry / panic button on the key fob no longer works. Additionally the power locks only work when the car is running and also only works on the passenger side (2 door coupe).

Is this a MAJOR repair? I can live with out keyless entry if I have to. About how much $$ do you think will be to repair? I am thinking about putting in a HD radio. If I put in a radio, then fix the keyless system in that order, am I creating more problems?

Additional clarifications about the above question:

Clarification # 1

Guru: I also had keyless entry on my honda civic, you might want to look into all of your connections, because if your wires are hitting eachother and grounding out it will cause your keyless entry not to work, all mine were connected behind the radio.

Seeker: Ans: I still have to check the cables but I am not sure where exactly to look for. I will need step by step instructions (preferably with pictures or a video) to look for the cables and for anything else you want me to check.

I am willing to pay 5 bucks for this answer, if it allows me to determine whether its just a loose cable connection.
