Detailed question
| Hello, my fan is not working at all. Its called Mytek. I opened the fan and cleaned it and also oiled it but its not working at all. I thought instead of just discarding it I would give it a try and see if someone can guide me how to operate this fan. I also tried to turn the wings of the fan to give it some momentum but no luck. I have a video of this fan on youtube. If you can help me i would appreciate it. Thanks. |

| Guru: Hi bombaygirl, Was it working before you oiled it? My first thought is the problem is electrical in nature. Does it do anything when you turn it on. patienthunter |
| Seeker: Ans: No. I opened it and tried all of the steps including oiling only after the fan had stopped working. If there is something wrong with the motor, can it be replaced easily and non-expensively? I am willing to pay under $8 if I can get an answer that explains me how to do it, rather than spend $30 to buy a new fan. I don't have the heart to just throw this one away. |
