Detailed question
I live in an apartment complex on the uppermost floor. We do not get sunlight in our balcony. We are vegetarians and I love fresh vegetables. We do not have any land that we can grow vegetables there. My family consists of 2 adults.
- Is it possible for me to grow vegetables in a pot? I am especially interested in growing Roma/big tomatoes, lemon, green bell pepper.
- Could you suggest me some other vegetables that can be easily grown in a pot in my balcony.
- Do I need to buy seeds or I can use seeds from a freshly cut vegetable.
- What fertilizers will I need?
- I plan to grow these in summer 2009, but are there any winter plants that grows only in cold weather?
- Do I need any preparation in advance for next year plants?
- Normally every summer I grow mint and basil and I have to keep them a few hours in sunlight and they are fine but now I want to grow even more.
- I would appreciate precise answers from gardening guru who loves growing vegetables and for not more than $5.
