Detailed question
Hi, I own a 1991 suzuki gn250 . In October last year I kept having trouble starting the bike. Sometimes the starter motor would not turn over, just made a click sound. When I took it to a bike repair shop, he told me that the problem probably lied with the brushes. I was able to get hold of a bran new starter motor but when I fitted it, sometimes i hear the starter whizz and will not turn the engine over. I found that if i kick off the stand and get it into gear, it sometimes manages to turn over and start. Apart from this, when I ride it, the engine completely cuts out and I loose all supply from panel. It takes a few seconds to reset itself and then I am able to start it up again. I have checked all battery connections and cables in general but can not locate the problem. Please help. Thanks Con |
